Hi,

I have create Information Models like Analytical and Calculation Views with a calculated column with data type as Decimal as length as 15 and scale as 3 and viewed the data by clicking on Data Preview of that particular View. In Data Preview no decimals are appearing .

Can anyone suggest me how to view the decimal places in Data Preview in SAP HANA Studio in Development or Modeling Prospective.

Data Services Designer cannot connect, SDK failure

$

Hi, I've done quite a bit of investigation so far but still cannot get the Designer client to reach and authenticate against the CMS.

This is a 4.2.5 install with an IPS platform. Single server installation with Oracle repositories.

The error occurs when I try to log on (the list of available repositories are not shown).

The error message is a typical one people receive which is usually firewall related - invalid username/password, SDK failure.

I have done the following so far:-

I can connect to the DS mgmt console and CMC without problems.

I have added a system DSN and tnsnames.ora entry for the CMS and BODS repositories. I can connect to those using SQL Developer

I have added an entry into my local hosts file for the server

I have created firewall rules to open up all inbound and outbound ports on the server and client

I can ping the server and telnet to port 6400 OK

I set enable=yes in the DSUserConfig file but it doesn't generate a log file so I haven't got any detail from the error.

No entries in the server logs relating to a failed logon.

The client and server are on different subnets, but surely that's not mandatory?

I've read the forums and cannot think of anything else to try. Any suggestions?

Much appreciated,

Mike

switching rule in QM

Hi All,

I need some suggestion for switching rule from normal inspection to tightening inspection.

From manufacturing point of view, i am clear that whenever any 2 lots fails out of 5 lots it switches to tightening inspection. But from SAP point of view how SAP will switch from normal to tightening..? May be this is a silly question, but i really need help like, what sampling scheme or sampling procedure should i use..? how to use both kind of inspection severity..?

Please help with some documents or any screen shots

Hi all.

We have a PDS with a period of validity from 01/06/15 to 13/06/15.

We have a Demand on 15/06/15, why the heuristic run do not take into consideration the possibility to anticipate the production? It creates no production order, so we have a shortfall.

duplicating a table in Crystal Reports

$

Hi,

I'm using the following version of Crystal Reports.

Version 14.0.2.364 RTM.

I'm trying to modify an existing production report by adding a database field to the report. I'm used to working with reports which use actual queries, but instead, this report was created using a method similar to how an ERD looks. Tables and the relationships between them are shown in the "Links" tab. Table A is a child table in 2 of it's columns of table B. I'd like to add a duplicate of table B so that I could join table A with this second table B and display the column from the second table B. When I do this, it seems to created a new datasource. Does anyone know how I could do this without adding a new datasource?

Import SQL Package!!

Hi to all Experts,

I installed BPC MS 10.0 with SQL Server 2012.

I want to do a demo test on Import SQL data into bpc. For this, I searched for how to use Import SQL DM Package.

I created a sql table, and then ran import sql dm package via excel client. I get the following error.

Error occurred while updating the dynamic properties of a package

[dbo].[tblFAC2Copy] is missing or invalid source table.

I know for sure that I am missing some basic configuration in this matter, but could not figure it out.

Note: in Import SQL package properties, ApShell is used. which I think is not correct because I do not have any application with this name.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nouman.

Hi Folks,

I have a Calculated View.

In that i have Order and Status as columns.

Order    Status
1            A

1            B

1            C

2           D

2           E

3           F

But i need the output as follows..

Order        Status

1                A,B,C

2                D,E

3                F

I dont want to use cursors. CTE and functions like LISTAGG() are not compiling in HANA.

Do we have any other way like CTE or LISTAGG()  to execute in HANA views.

Any suggetsions are appreciated..

Thanks..

question about Agents on the fly and shared NAS mounts..

$

ok, so we're starting to look at moving to Agents on the Fly configuration, and on the system I've tested this with I'm very much liking the results.  Had a brief conversation with our Unix guy however, and this raised a question about how we have our NAS mounts configured and if this will work with AotF.

We have /usr/sap mounted locally to our hosts, and then we have /<sid>/ whatever on a NAS mount that is shared between hosts.  We have up to 4 hosts (primary/secondary and then second failover set) that all share the NAS.  Since the AotF is installed on the shared mount, how does it pick up the new host name if the primary fails and the host moves to the secondary or failover servers?  These are active/passive, so only one server at a time is actively using the connection.

When the Agent is initially installed, it identifies the host name where it is installed, but when the NAS flips to another server, that host name no longer matches the agent.  Do we simply need to create profiles for all possible hosts in the profile directory?  But then how does runtime.properties fit into the picture, since it only contains 1 host name??

I know we've had problems with the host_profile being corrupted because of being installed on a shared drive - does AotF suffer from similar issues?  Or do we need to install them to a truly local drive?

So many questions... lol

Thanks.

How does Deal Finder in SAP Cloud for Customer work?

Deal Finder leverages SAP Infinite Insight,

To score leads, we first create a predictive model – based on historical leads and whether they successfully converted into opportunities.

Historical lead data is fed to SAP Infinite Insight, in a flat structure with last column is the success criteria (Conversion in case of Lead)

Dealfinder.JPG

SAP Infinite Insight looks at all the attributes of the lead and identifies which attributes are most correlated to successful conversions.

The output of SAP Infinite Insight is a predictive model with weightings for each attribute. This process is called learning and takes only a few minutes.

You can Make the system learn every month or even every day. So that the model changes based on the most recent business trends.

To get a better model, its highly recommended to pass in as many account and contact fields along with campaign or any other information, we already take care of this.

This model is then applied to every new lead to predict whether it will result in a successful conversion.

BODS - Query Transformation - Dynamic Mapping

$

Hello,

We have a requirement that client would like to maintain the mappings (source field mapping to target field) in an external source (like excel or database table), and BODS has to read the mapping from this external source and execute the mapping field dynamically.

For Example if NAME1 column in the target is mapped to source table NAME1, BODS has to read the mapping expression (SRC_TABLE.NAME1) from external source and execute that dynamically. If client changes the mapping from NAME1 to NAME2, BODS should be able to automatically execute the expression without making any changes to ETL object. If the source column specified in the mappings not found, then the default value should be NULL.

Is this even feasible with BODS? I have looked at all the available functions, and I don't see any possibility of specifying mapping expressions with dynamic columns.

Any suggestions and ideas how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Influencer Map - How does it work?

In the example below, Eric Stark has been identified as a key influencer for our target contact Paula.

Influencer_map.png

To calculate the influencer score, we look at all opportunity and activities that Eric has been involved in with Paula, and calculated a weighted
score.

Influencer_map_2.png

In this case, we see that Eric has been involved with 3 deals where we won, 2 deals where we lost, and 1 deal which is still in process and 10
activities that they have been together in (Activities are emails, phone calls, appointments, visits).

We then calculate the weighted score which is 29.  This score is higher than all the other potential influencers of Paula, so we will ask Eric for help with this particular opportunity.

We also take end user feedback, so if Erick is moved from first position to last position then we store the user preference which will bring down the score as well.
